I am a lawyer-turned-psychotherapist in private practice in Evanston, IL.   I moved to this area from Central Texas/Austin area in April 2024.  I practiced business litigation in Austin, TX for 25 years, and during that time, I was trained in Collaborative Law and in Mediation.  Since becoming a therapist in 2014, I have focused my practice in the area of assisting divorcing/divorced parents with co-parenting, remaining child-focused, and helping parents understand the needs of children related to having two homes, in general and at various stages of child development.  I have worked with divorced families in various capacities, most often as a co-parenting coach or as a family therapist.  I have participated in many AFCC trainings and conferences over the years as well as weekly peer consultation where my colleague and I discuss our cases.  I am delighted to find that the Collaborative Divorce Practice Community has such a strong presence in Illinois, particularly in my new, chosen home of Chicagoland.  I look forward to becoming an active part of this Community.
