Margaret Zuleger

Margaret has been a licensed attorney since earning her JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 1992, and is a member of the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the State of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7^th Circuit, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

She currently limits her practice to Family Law, with a special emphasis on Collaborative Divorce.  Margaret has served the Collaborative Divorce Illinois organization on various committees, including regional practice group leader, marketing committee and In-House Basic Training chair.

Margaret believes that Collaborative Divorce is the best option to be able to divorce with dignity and respect in order to minimize the negative financial and emotional impact on the people and families involved.

Because the Collaborative Divorce option is not as well known as traditional litigation, Margaret offers an “information only” meeting for couples contemplating this option, before having an initial consultation with one of the spouses.  This way, both spouses hear about Collaborative Divorce together and are then more likely to considering this option, which really is the healthiest way to divorce for both.
